- BOOK FAIR | December 9 – 13
- Parents will be able to shop with their kids after school on Wednesday, December 11 from 3-6pm.

- CLASS SPELLING BEES | December 9 -13
- Each classroom, except for Kindergarten, will hold its own spelling bee, and every student is encouraged to participate. Later, classroom winners will earn the chance to represent their class in the school-wide spelling bee.
- HERE is list of words that your child can use to practice in preparation for the classroom spelling bee.
- NASHVILLE’S NUTCRACKER, TPAC | December 12
- School-wide field trip to see the Nashville Ballet perform at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center
- GARDEN WORK DAY | December 12
- Join our team to help get our garden beds ready for winter
- 3:30 – 4:30 – open to anyone in the community!
- SNACK & LEARN | December 13
- Learn about strategies to improve your mental health at 8:30AM.

- Kindergarten will visit a Nashville Fire Station!
- SPIRIT WEEK | December 16 – 20
- Monday 12/16: Wear white, blue or silver to celebrate the beauty of winter.
- Tuesday 12/17: Wear clothing that represents your favorite winter holiday.
- Wednesday 12/18: Wear lights, bling, sequins or holiday decorations.
- Thursday 12/19: Wear a cozy or ugly sweater.
- Friday 12/20: Wear pajamas for Polar Express Day!
- HOT CHOCOLATE BAR FOR TEACHERS | December 16
- Help us stock the Teacher’s Lounge with goodies to keep their spirits high this holiday season!
- Drop snacks off by Friday, December 13. Sign up HERE.
- HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS CONCERT | December 17
- Doors open at 5pm. Show starts at 5:30pm.
- Baked goods will be for sale by the PTA. If you can donate food, please sign up HERE.
- Please have your kiddos dress in all black with festive holiday headgear.

- EAGLE’S NEST WINTER SHOPPE | December 18 – 19
- This is a favorite holiday event at IES! Kids get to pick out gifts for family and friends, have them wrapped, and take them home to give to their loved ones!
- Donations are being accepted through December 13.
- Donations needed: Any kid/family-friendly items, such as games, toys, electronics, housewares, team apparel, jewelry, scooters, mugs, etc. Gift bags and tissue paper are also needed!

- Join us for this event from 5-6:30 pm at the South Inglewood Community Center!
- We will have a very special Santa’s helper (You may know him as Mr. Miller!) on site to take pictures with your families!

- SCHOOL PLAY AUDITIONS | December 3 & December 5
- 101 Dalmatians is coming to Inglewood Elementary!
- Auditions will be held from 3:30 – 4:30.
- Grades 2nd – 5th may audition. Students will read a small part and check vocal range.
- Rehearsals will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays starting in January.
